Founding MRPDA
- Myanmar Real Property Development Association (MRPDA) was established on March 20, 2017, in Yangon, Myanmar.
- According to Article 42 of the Company Law of Myanmar, it is an organization with limited liability by guarantee without adding shares. It is an association officially recognized by the Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.

The Myanmar Real Property Development Association (MRPDA), Yangon Region Branch (Thingangyun District), successfully organized the AML/CFT Awareness Training Course No. (45/2026) and the Multiplier Training Course No. (4/2026) on the Introduction to FATF Global Standards, Methodologies and Procedures on 14 June 2026 at 9:30 a.m. at the UAB Bank Headquarters, Office Tower 2, Time City, Yangon.![]()

The opening ceremony was graced by U Zaw Moe Htike, Director from the General Administration Department (GAD) and Chairman of the Supervisory Body for Real Estate Agents and Precious Metals (Gold) Dealers in Thingangyun District, who delivered the opening remarks highlighting the importance of complying with national policies, regulations and legal frameworks.![]()

Representing the President of MRPDA, U Wunna Soe, Vice President (1) of MRPDA, delivered welcoming remarks and emphasized that the real estate sector is closely linked with the integrity and security of the financial system. He stressed the importance for real estate professionals to understand AML/CFT regulations, FATF global standards and internationally accepted best practices.![]()

Subsequently, U Bo Ni Win, Chairman of MRPDA Yangon Region Branch, explained the objectives of organizing the training programmes and reiterated the Association’s commitment to enhancing the knowledge and professional capacity of its members through continuous education and advanced training programmes.![]()

Meanwhile, U Kyaw Kyaw Lwin, Vice Chairman (2) of MRPDA Yangon Region Branch, shared valuable insights and experiences gained from attending international real estate conferences and events organized by the International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI), providing participants with a broader perspective on global developments in the real estate industry.![]()

As part of the main programme, U Khine Tun Zaw, Deputy Director, and U Zaw Myo Tun, Assistant Director from the General Administration Department (Nay Pyi Taw), delivered comprehensive lectures on AML/CFT laws and regulations. Their presentations covered important issues such as compliance requirements for real estate agents, suspicious transaction reporting procedures, and practical implementation measures.![]()

In addition, U Wunna Soe, Vice President (1) of MRPDA, conducted a special session on the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), introducing participants to global standards, methodologies, procedures and international best practices relevant to Myanmar’s real estate sector.![]()

A representative from UAB Bank also presented information regarding Consumer Loan services and discussed potential opportunities for collaboration between the banking and real estate sectors.![]()

One of the highlights of the programme was a presentation by Sayar U Pyae Sone Win, entitled “AI for Real Estate Agents.” The session demonstrated how Artificial Intelligence can be applied in real estate practices, including customer acquisition, digital marketing, market analysis and productivity enhancement, attracting significant interest from participants.![]()

A total of 196 MRPDA members from Thingangyun District attended the training. Active discussions and knowledge-sharing sessions contributed to the success of the programme, which concluded successfully at 5:00 p.m.![]()

The training programme provided participants with valuable knowledge not only in legal compliance but also in international standards, financial literacy and emerging technologies. It marked another important step towards promoting professionalism and strengthening the capacity of Myanmar’s real estate sector.![]()
